Köppl

Köppl GmbH is a German manufacturer of equipment and attachments for professional use in agriculture and forestry. Equipment and single wheel tractor from Köppl are also used in gardening, landscaping and municipal applications. The headquarters of the family business is in Entschenreuth, a district of Lower Bavarian village of Saldenburg. The company, which currently employs around 80 people, looks back at a more than one hundred year history. Köppl was founded in 1896, as the master blacksmith Emil Köppl took over the smithy in the village of Entschenreuth. Even as in the founding phase, in which agricultural work still depended largely on the horse-drawn carriage, the company objective was to develop work facilitating devices. The success of the devices developed by Köppl led in subsequent years to a rapid expansion of the product range and production facilities. 1948 the first motor units were delivered, and thus the specialization in the current product range. This was followed by economically successful years in which Köppl developed into a specialist for basic equipment and attachments and continued to expand its market position. The extensive range now includes a variety of products for many different applications. These include mowing, mulching and soil cultivation as well as a number of other speciality and maintenance tasks. The widely outstretched dealer network with European offices provides for comprehensive on-site customer service and a large assortment of spare parts and loan equipment.
