Pruning

The pruning of trees as it is done for example at the edges of meadows and fields in parks, is a necessary measure in agriculture, horticulture and forestry. In these industries pruning serves different purposes. First there is the protection of machinery and mowers used on the field. If trees around fields or meadow are not cut regularly, this can lead to interference of the harvest and the work process and to clogging of the mowers. Furthermore, it must be ensured that the trees do not extend into the meadows and cultivated areas and reduce the crop space. Pruning is also one of the important and necessary regular maintenance tasks in horticulture and landscape maintenance. Hedges must be cut back as well as coniferous trees, saplings and shrubs. The pruning mainly serves to preserve the desired size and growth shape. The specific work processes and the associated safety measures must be observed during pruning. The carrier vehicle, on which the hedge cutting system is mounted, moves slowly along the hedge or trees and cuts off branches and leaves. The position of the hedge cutting system can be adjusted vertically or horizontally depending on the desired trimming result. The cuttings from trimming a hedge must, if desired, be collected separately. The special cutting process that is required for pruning requires specially designed cutting systems.
