Rapeseed cutter

Professional harvest technology uses special ESM rapeseed cutters to harvest rapeseed. The design of these mowing systems is exactly adapted to the requirements set by the machines that harvest rapeseed and their components. The special features of harvesting rapeseed is that harvesters with only horizontal cutting systems are not sufficient. The reason for this lies in the specific growth form of rapeseed plants in the field. The tightly intertwined rapeseed plants form a dense carpet that can not be efficiently harvested with a purely horizontal mowing system. The harvest ripe rapeseed plants would clog the cutting unit and the entire mower mechanism. In addition to the burden on the combine, the rapeseed plant would damaged by such a harvesting operation without vertical rapeseed cutter. The actual crop, the sensitive oilseeds, which are located in pods would fall out during this harvest. Such so-called vibration losses are to be reduced to a minimum, since this considerably reduces the harvest yield. For this reason, the professional and efficient ESM rapeseed cutters are used for harvesting rapeseed. The rapeseed cutters which were specially constructed for this harvesting process work cleanly and vibration-free, enabling a separation process that corresponds to the growth of rapeseed field. The vertically mounted rapeseed cutters on the flanks of the cutting table cut through the dense intertwined rapeseed plants and form a harvest area that is separated from the rest of rapeseed field, which are then cut off by the horizontal cutting system of rapeseed table and then fed into the threshing process. Such a complex and demanding harvesting process relies on highly precise and reliably working cutting systems. ESM rapeseed cutters have proven themselves in this mowing area for decades and are used in heavy duty class rapeseed harvesters.
