Rapid

Rapid Technic AG is a Swiss manufacturer of single axle equipment carriers as well as tractors and special vehicles. The company's headquarters is located in Killwangen in the Swiss canton of Aargau. The History of Rapid Technic AG began in 1926. In this year the economist Dr. Karl Welter and engineer Arnold Rutishauser founded the “Rapid Motormäher AG”. Objective of the company is the commercial sales of motor mowers from serial production. The young company was quickly successful and grew rapidly. In 1950 Rapid developed his first successful model, the single-axle tractor type “S”. The Rapid special was versatile and one of the first multi-functional agricultural devices. The success and the long production period (1950-1978) of the “special” has undoubtedly influenced the mechanization of Swiss agriculture. Between 1960 and 1980 followed a series of developments and launches of lawn mowers, motor mowers and tractor mowers, and the continuous expansion of the company. This innovative spirit continued in the following years and continues on in the present. For example, in 2009 the Rapid REX the world's lightest mountain mower was introduced, which is able to cope with steep slopes up to 120 °. Highest quality of all components and equipment versatility are the basis of all Rapid developments. Rapid motorised mowers are used in alpine agriculture, public utilities and commercial farming. The product range includes single-axle devices with fixed or swivelling rail. Weight, motorisation and cutting width of the devices are adapted to the specific application areas as well as to the individual customer needs. When selecting cutter bars Rapid uses the professional technology of Ennepetaler Schneid-und Mähtechnik. ESM double knives, municipal bars and finger bars complement the Rapid drive machines ideally. The broad spectrum of ESM cutting systems, the patented Carbodux® blade quality and the high service life of the ESM components make it ideal for professional use in gardening and landscaping, in the community, on steep slopes and for a variety of special operations.
