Medium cut

In the finger cutter bar segment different cutter system designs are available. The medium cut and high cut versions are each designed for specific applications. The free cut version is also available. On the medium cut finger bar the finger pitch is 50.8 mm. The areas of application for this cutting system are in professional agriculture. Used with motorized mowers ESM cutting systems provide excellent cutting results, cutting quality and ease of operation. The working width of the medium cut finger bar is 1.32 to 1.92 m. This cutting width provides an excellent compromise between a flexible, slim design and a high yield. It is designed for the special purposes for which a medium cut cutting system is needed. ESM always places very high quality demands on their range of cutting systems: User friendliness and maintenance characteristics must meet professional standards. The aspect of environmental protection and the protection of small animals was also taken into consideration. The medium cut cutting system is subject to special care and maintenance instructions, which are listed in the assembly and operating instructions. The knife guide in the finger zone must be adjusted if necessary. A basic adjustment is required if the clearance between the guide plates and friction plate exceeds 1 mm. The basic setting must also be readjusted after installing a new mower blade and after each time the fixing screws are loosened. If the medium cut cutting system knife guide has play between the knife holder and guide plate, this can be corrected by turning the adjustment screw. The exact instructions for adjusting the medium cut version blade guide are found in the assembly and operating instructions from the finger bar type cutting system. After the blade guide is adjusted correctly, the guide plate should sit under the knife holder without play and be in contact with it in the front third. The friction plate and the guide plate's inclined sliding surfaces are set correctly when they are parallel to each other with a clearance of 0.2 to 1.0 mm.
