Vertical flail mower

The VERTI-2-FLAIL cutting system from ESM for vertical flails is based on an in-house development. As a traditional manufacturer and global provider of high-quality cutting unit technologies Ennepetaler Schneid- und Mähtechnik is continuously engaged in the task of developing the optimum cutting system for all kinds of mowing situations. This has led, among other innovative developments to the development of the ESM VERTI-2-FLAIL vertical flail system. The patented cutting system with hardened blade carrier, armoured knife bearings and special flail knives is designed for professional use and is suited for mowing extremely dense areas. The oscillating special blades cut dense vegetation effortlessly, as is found in roadside vegetation and other rarely cut areas. The ESM VERTI-2-FLAIL technology is also used in the forestry and vineyards. Due to the special design, ESM VERTI-2-FLAIL technology combines great safety when mowing with very high mowing capacity. The vertical flail is surrounded by a thick walled flail mower housing, which prevents stones or foreign objects from being thrown. The flail knives are characterized by an extreme cutting force, which is also able to cut logs up to 50 mm diameter. Extensively used areas can be mowed quickly with such professional vertical flails, without the risk that the cutting system could be overloaded or damaged due to dense vegetation or thick branches. Instead the ESM vertical flail effortlessly mows even large and very densely vegetated surfaces and finely shreds the clippings. The slim design makes the mower flexible and facilitates handling. The patented design, based on only two knives per knife carrier, knife changes are fast and easy to perform. The additional low maintenance requirements of the ESM technology make the vertical flail to a mower that works quickly and effectively even under the harshest conditions. In terms of fuel consumption and environmental protection the mower is also at a very good level because the low power requirement enables fuel-saving use in comparison to other flailing technologies.
