Vertical flails

Through vertical flails with the patented VERTI-2-FLAIL cutting system from ESM new possibilities for extensive professional care become available. The further developed and improved cutting system is based on a unique design with a vertical rotating blade carrier on which specially shaped flail knives are attached to the ends. While flail mowers in the classic version are fitted with flails on the cutter shaft, the ESM VERTI-2-FLAIL principle is based on vertical flails on a rotating technology that is horizontal to the surface with oscillating special knives. This design has distinct advantages over other flail mowing cutting systems in very demanding situations. Mowers with vertical flail technology, as developed by Ennepetaler Schneid- und Mähtechnik, are characterized by their extremely robust and reliable mowing action. They are preferably used for mulching and fine mowing in the extensive cultivation of land. Vertical flailing with ESM VERTI-2-FLAIL has proven successful in these applications, since mowers of other designs are often unable to cope with the heterogeneous growth of these surfaces. Special operations on roadside vegetation or public lawns require, for example, a mower that is capable of cutting and shredding shrubs, bushes and small trees alike. Here the vertical flails with the VERTI-2-FLAIL system are the right choice, since the benefits of such vertical flails are clearly visible. The Powerful and robust knives in flail shape easily cut even logs up to 50 mm diameter and provide a very clean cut at the same time. Mowing can be carried out continuously and without interruption, since consideration to dense spots or small trees must not be taken. Instead the ESM mower system with vertical flails mows the entire vegetation in an extensively used area and the clippings are finely shredded and spread evenly on the ground. If the area to be mowed is a steep slope or a strongly sloping embankment, it is possible to use a remote controlled mower with ESM VERTI-2-FLAIL technology. The use of such a mower makes easy and risk-free flail mowing on steep slopes possible.
