De Pietri Srl is an Italian manufacturer of tractors and mowers for professional farming. The headquarters is located in Vezzano in Northern Italy in the Trentino-Alto Adige region. The De Pietri production focuses on specialized mowers for harvesting vegetables, salad, herbs and green fodder. The company was founded in the early 20th century by Giovanni De Pietri. The workshop initially did repairs and minor improvements on agricultural machines and was quickly successful. The company expanded and was run by De Pietri's two sons in the following years. Under their direction the first self-propelled clipping collector for green fodder harvest designed and brought to market in 1960. The innovative mower was a great success and made the brand internationally known. Currently, the company is managed in the third generation and De Pietri is one of the leading manufacturers of mowers for green fodder and special harvesting equipment. The De Pietri production consists of two main lines, the “argri line” and the “orto line”. The “agri line” provides mowing and collection machinery and tractors for the green fodder harvest. The sophisticated mowers and tractors in this product line provide maximum comfort and efficiency. Different mowers available depending on the size of the farm and type of crop. The “orto line” offers a range of mowers and collectors for harvesting vegetables, herbs and salad. The demanding harvesting of such foods requires highly accurate mowing machines that handle the sensitive crop very gently. Lettuce, spinach, chard and also herbs such as parsley, mint or basil must be harvested with extreme caution. The vegetable, spinach and lettuce harvesters from De Pietri have been perfected for the harvesting of these delicate foods. This includes the use of Bidux double knives from ESM. The patented mowing blades on the cutting system ensure a particularly good cut and a corresponding high-quality crop. Through the vibration-free operation of the ESM cutting systems herbs, salads and vegetables can be harvested very carefully and cleanly.
