Dorotea Mekaniska AB is a Swedish company, specializing in the production of machines and vehicles for water maintenance. Dorotea was founded in 1989 by Torbjörn Hahlin, with the initial focus on machine service and welding. Gradually, the company specialized in the production of machinery and amphibious carrier vehicles for water management. Today Dorotea is the world leader in this area. Their product portfolio comprises cutting systems and other equipment for water maintenance, reed cutters and amphibious vehicles. The company's flagship is the amphibious vehicle Truxor, which has been produced since 1996. The Dorotea Truxor is a versatile vehicle that can be operated both on land and in water. It is characterized in particular by its diverse equipment mounting options. The Truxor amphibious vehicle is suited for cutting reeds and seaweed as well as a variety of other tasks on and in the water. the Dorotea Truxor's lightweight design also makes it suited for use on sensitive soils (nature reserves, golf courses). Since its introduction the Dorotea Truxor has been continuously improved and the mounting options have been expanded. The control system has been updated and thus facilitates the operation of the vehicle by joystick for the 2014 model series. The current Truxor series models offer maximum driving comfort and a variety of connecting and mounting options for almost every conceivable operation. Mowing vehicles, which are used in special applications such as water management, are naturally exposed to high stresses. Maintenance and care of the cutting system are easy to carry out, the blade guide is optimized with spring-loaded rocker arm. ESM double knives for water management applications are extremely durable and can be used above and under water. Patented Carbodux® blades ensure a long service life and excellent cutting power under the most difficult conditions.
