Double knife cutter bars differ from single knife cutter bars by the simultaneous movement of the upper and lower knives. Double knife cutter bar applications are diverse and range from hobby to highly specialized and professional mowing and harvesting applications. Due to the patented ESM Carbodux® double knife blades, all cutting units in the product range function reliably and are resistant to wear. The benefits are found in hobby mowing as well as in commercial use. The “bidux®” double knife cutting system is used for professional harvest applications. One of the general advantages of the double knife cutting system from ESM Ennepetaler Schneid und Mähtechnik is that even the mowing of sensitive crops works well. The slim design also makes special applications possible. As with all double knife cutter bars from ESM, the vibration-free knife operation is especially important. This cuts sensitive crops such as herbs, vegetables and flowers gently and cleanly. The double knife bar principle is also used for the special applications: Harvesting rapeseed and mowing rice and wheat straw. The “bidux®” double knife cutting system also provides an ideal complement to a combine cutting system attachment. It makes it possible to e.g. integrated a stubble cut with a long cut at maximum travelling speed and at the same time provides for minimum energy use and a significantly increased throughput volume in the threshing process. ESM Ennepetaler Schneid und Mähtechnik production is optimally adapted to meet different customer requirements in terms of their double knife cutter applications. All cutting systems are individually tailored to the needs of the carrier machine manufacturer. The working width can be designed for up to 12.00 m. The ESM oil bath drive “1920” is available as drive unit. The “bidux®” double knife cutting system makes it possible to mow even very large areas with maximum efficiency. The possibility to adjust all parameters individually is a further advantage of this professional cutting system.
