Extensive care
Under Extensive care is understood as a particular type of land use and treatment in agriculture and lawn care. While in intensive farming, the area used processed in short intervals (e.g. fertilizing, watering, mowing or cutting), such measures are done much less frequently in extensive care. Instead, a green area is left alone for a relatively long period. Artificial fertilization, irrigation and pesticide use are not done. These measures have a significant impact on the plant height, their composition and they require other methods of mowing and mowing systems than intensive ground care. No care at all is not recommended, and the mowing is an important part of the extensive care. The reasons for extensive care can be quite different. Here aesthetic, ecological and economic factors play a role. Extensive care is used in many different application. In extensive grassland management frequent mowing is avoided for conservation purposes. This measure serves to preserve the original fauna and flora, which only occurs under such conditions. Extensive care is also applied in the management of pastures and meadows. Here special mowers are used, which are oriented to the sometimes difficult mowing situations on slopes. Orchards are another area where extensive care is used. Finally, extensive care is also increasingly used by greenery offices and building yards in communities. Extensive care represents an interesting alternative to the conventional and costly intensive maintenance of parks and green areas. Sometimes both forms of lawn maintenance are combined.
