Hedge cutting system
The requirements for a hedge cutting system, as used in the communal vegetation maintenance and professional agriculture are diverse. In this particular area the same demands on a cutting system apply as in other areas of professional cutting and mowing. Reliability, high cutting power and a low maintenance requirements are fundamental characteristics that a commercial or municipal hedge cutting unit need to have. The ESM special bar hedge trimmer “C” is, as with all Ennepetaler Scheid- und Mähtechnik cutting systems, equipped with extremely robust and powerful components and thus meets the high standards in this area. Patented Carbodux® blades enable uninterrupted and consistently precise cutting of hedges and other vegetation. The cutting system is environmentally friendly due to its low energy consumption. Maintenance and servicing can be carried out with little effort. Exactly bolted blade guides also facilitate the maintenance tasks and reduce the risk of injury. Through its slim design the ESM special bar “hedge trimming” is flexible and easy to use with a hydraulic arm or boom. In addition to these general requirements for a professionally used mower, some features are taken into account for hedge trimming. Working with a hedge cutting unit differs from another mowing tasks by the special shape and the growth of a hedge. Unlike mowing fields or meadows when trimming a hedge the hedge cutting system must be frequently adjusted in cutting height and oriented on the hedge. Hedges and trees always grow individually, which must be taken into account when cutting. In addition, many hedges have very different sized branches. The hedge cutting unit should be able to cut through thick branches and simultaneously provide a precise cut. In order to guarantee this cutting result the ESM hedge cutting system is equipped with a combination of toothed bar blades and smooth knife blades. Branches up to 25 mm diameter can be cut cleanly and effortlessly. The working width of the cutting system is 1.22, 1.48 or 1.78 meters.
