Hedge trimming
In agriculture and forestry, in addition to the conventional mowing jobs such as the mowing of grass and other vegetation, again and again special operations such as hedge trimming must be dealt with. With hedge trimming special demands are placed on the cutting system. A fundamental problem is the irregular density of the hedge. Cutting systems for hedge trimming must be able to cut through thicker branches. At the same time an overall clean cut must be achieved and the ease of use the equipment must be guaranteed. Depending on the size, vegetation density and frequency of the cut different cutting system designs are used. Applications in local and professional agriculture and grounds maintenance require larger devices. The height and length of hedges make a cutting by hand impossible or inefficient. For hedge trimming in these areas, generally mobile mowers with powerful drives and ESM-quality cutting units are used.
