Herder is a leading manufacturer of machines and working equipment for water and vegetation management. The Herder product range offers a variety of professional solutions for very different mowing applications on land and in water. The Herder B. V. headquarters is located in Middelburg in the Netherlands, where the company was founded in 1947. An important step in the company development was the market introduction of a patented mowing bucket in 1964. The device made effective and fast work possible in water management and is a great success to this day. Based on this successful product further machines, mowing arms and special products for water management were developed. Through their innovative equipment and machines, Herder experienced an economic boom in the following decades, which led to the opening of a larger factory in 1983. Another important event in the company's history was the launch of the Grenadier equipment trolley in 1988. The versatility of the device made the grenadier to a very successful working tool for all kinds of tasks in water management. It is still a popular all-rounder in this area today. Continuous expansion of the Herder product range led to a further expansion of the company premises in 1994.
